What global footprint will we leave to our children and grandchildren?  We affect our future and our children's future by what we do everyday to our environment. Everyone of us has to take a look at what we do to the air, land, and water around us.

Global pollution is caused by many factors.  Natural disasters like wildfires affect the atmosphere around the world as seen by our satellites many miles in the sky. Human activities are more responsible for trashing our atmosphere than anything else.

Chemical companies sell products that are put on soil and pollute our drinking water.  The amount of trash that every household generates can add up to 4 pounds a day. We are beginning to realize that we cannot get rid of all the trash that we produce every day in the world.  Automobile and factory emissions from fossil fuels affect the atmosphere everywhere in the world.  These types of human activities can cause diseases, allergies and conditions like asthma or birth defects.  

Future generations will be affected by what we decide to do right now. The use of alternative fuels like solar and wind power is increasing year by year.  They benefit us by being renewable and clean sources of energy which reduce the greenhouse effect that fossil fuels have on the environment.

Although European nations lead the world in the use of renewable energy sources, many nations are aware of what needs to be done in cleaning up our air, water, and land. There is hope for a cleaner world and a brighter future if everyone of us gets involved in leaving a better footprint to future generations.
